VG Poduzetnicki centar – local development agency of Velika Gorica

We are the commercial company in majority ownership of the Town of Velika Gorica - the 6th largest town in Croatia. Founded in the aim of supporting the development initiatives and creating measures, projects and services for leveraging the local and regional economic development and, more specifically, for SME development. Since winter 2004 until beginning of 2009, our corporate web-page has scored 140.000 visits. Until 31.12.2008, we have compiled EUR 62 million-worth investment projects for 114 enterprises and companies. We have published almost 100 motivation and information articles on business and are currently publishing our bi-weekly newsletter (in Croatian only). In 2005 we have been listed among the 5% of Croatian companies by productivity, 10% by added value and 10% by profits. From the two employees in 2004 we have grown to the today’s six. Our cross-border EU co-funded project WASTE NO WASTE is in implementation, as well as the THINK ABOUT YOURSELF and Artisanship of Dubrovnik (both implemented by our partners and clients). Workshops and seminars we had organized since 2005 were visited by +340 entrepreneurs.
